8th grade students tour industries within our community including but not limited to:

• Briggs & Stratton
• Brodie International
• CDL Lumber
• Great Dane
• M & D Products

During the course of each visit, students find answers to these questions:

• What modern manufacturing facilities are really like these days?
• What the companies located in our community make and who they sell to?
• What kinds of jobs are available in manufacturing?
• What skills and education are needed to qualify for today’s manufacturing jobs?
