Preparing students for successful careers and building an educated, skilled,
and efficient workforce for economic growth in Bulloch County.

Introduction

Workforce Development in Bulloch County begins long before students graduate from high school. Career discovery begins in elementary school, expands in middle school, and engages students during the high school years. Preparing students for successful careers and building an efficient workforce for economic growth in Bulloch County cannot be achieved in isolation. All stakeholders must work together and align their efforts in order to:

Build a workforce that provides for the needs of our local and regional industries and businesses.
Provide sustainable employment for our citizens.
Contribute to the stability and growth of the local economy
Promote the betterment of our community as a whole

Goals for FY22 – FY25

Goal #1

Sustain a collaborative for developing and monitoring continuous improvement of ongoing communitywide workforce development strategies.

Strategies

Restructure the current CTAE Steering Committee to become the Workforce Steering Committee.
Identify facilitators and stakeholder groups for all subcommittees of the Workforce Steering Committee.
Identify facilitators and stakeholder groups for all subcommittees of the Workforce Steering Committee.
Facilitate a communitywide campaign to increase positive perceptions of regional vocational opportunities.
Develop an evaluation plan to determine the effectiveness of the Bulloch County Workforce Development Plan.
Hold an annual retreat to review the progress and identify updated needs of the Bulloch County Workforce Development Plan and the Workforce Steering Committee.

Implement an exemplary districtwide program for employability skills training, rigorous coursework, and authentic experiences for all CTAE students.

Strategies

Develop and sustain a districtwide employability skills program in all pathways.
Provide engaging and rigorous CTAE pathways and Dual Enrollment opportunities.

Increase authentic educational experiences through participation in Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSO)
Increase districtwide access to pathways for all CTAE students.

Provide access to well-rounded, authentic educational experiences through participation in Work Based Learning.
Increase career awareness and preparation for the in-demand, high-wage, and high-skill jobs available in Bulloch County and our region.
